Picture speaks a Thousand Words...

I'm so excited right now, I'm surprised you guys reading this didn't hear me scream when it dropped :)
Thank you so much to Mercury's NA Limbus team! Especially Dirk for opening such a sexy Coffer after the kill.

So Scholar is fun. Very fun. I hear a lot of BLMs and WHMs whining about it, but I feel that it's pretty balanced, maybe just a little overpowered, but in a world of Samurai that get even more buffed every update, and Dark Knights doing Tens of Thousands of damage every few minutes, I'm not too worried. I've noticed that a Scholar will never really nuke as hard as a Black Mage, considering Black Mages have an innate +17 Magic Attack Bonus over us, from traits and Igqira Weskit, since any Scholar nuking will be wearing her AF Body fulltime. Scholar has amazing staying power though, and casting Tier 4 nukes for less than 100 MP combined with the chance of a Conserve MP Proc is excellent.
I've always been a huge campaigner, and there's nothing better than being able to Protect and Shell entire groups of people at once, along with being able to drop thousands of HP in healing with one spell thanks to Accession, which is one of the most defining abilities of Scholar.
Manifestation is fun as well, being able to Sleepga and Graviga is great. 'm very glad that SE decided to reduce our Strategem timers, I would say its about perfect right now. You have enough to use them and they recharge fast enough to be up when you need them, but not fast enough for you to constantly spam them.
Most of my LS, at least those I've talked to, is pretty supportive of the job and letting me experiment with it, and a few people are leveling it now. I hear a lot of complaints from BLMs about SCH replacing them, and I don't really ever see it happening, and I am a 75 BLM myself. Hopefully now that its 75 I can bring it to events and play around with it and have fun with it.
Also, fuck you Square for giving us shitty Male AF you fucking cocksuckers, I had to make a little adjustment hehe...
Just a little :)
All I can say is, it's about damn time. It's been 2 months since i picked up Scholar, and I'm glad to finally have it finished.
Huge thanks for Legoles and Dbdesigns for letting me leech XP randomly and duoing puddings with me for hours on end. I love you guys.

Been working on a new banner for our LS website. My photoshop skills aren't quite what they used to be, and its something I'm just toying around with, here's what I have so far...

I'm too tired to work on it any more at the moment, maybe I'll pick it up and finish it another time.

If there's one thing I think Square Enix actually did right with Final Fantasy XI, its Blue Mage. While the job is not as strong as it could be, it seems to have found its niche in endgame and is probably one of, if not the most unique jobs in the game. Blue Mage has the most interesting storyline behind it, which really drew me to the job as I was leveling it, and I'm currently in the proccess of getting the best gear possible for it because it is definitely my favorite job to play.
This is my Cannonball build. There are many like it but this one is mine.

With this build I currently have +68 STR and +30 VIT.
There's a good couple items I need to get to maximize the build. I'm trying my best to do so, but a couple of the items would require some help from the LS and some camping on my part. The things I need are...in order of importance of course.
*Auditory Torque (+1 STR +4 VIT)
*Galliard Trousers (+2 STR -1 VIT)
*Flame Ring (+1 STR)
*Vulcan's Staff (+1 STR)
That's it really. It's not the best, currently with this build I have about 795 Defense with Cocoon / Minne 3 +4 / and Tavnazian Taco, and it puts up some respectable numbers, Hopefully when I get these items I can start hitting that 2k mark I've desperately been trying to get.
